My students challenged me to paint and post my paintings every day for a month. It's 2021 and after a crazy 2020 I want to pick a series that is uplifting, hoperful, makes you smile, and generally says, "2021 will be sweeter!" What else? Cupcakes! So I contacted a local cupcake bakery, Molly's Cupcakes, and asked if I could come in a photograph some cupcakes. Molly's Cupcakes was wonderful! When I went in before they opened, the sun was streaming in the window and I just knew the lighting would be perfect. And what better? Cupcakes AND a sunny day! I was so worried about what I would title these little joyful paintings, but Molly's took care of that as well. The creative, mouthwatering titles came straight from THEM! No imagination needed!
